Cooling Water Outfall Pipeline

Details
Smithbridge were engaged as Main Contractor for the installation of a 1.8m ID concrete outfall pipeline extending 320m into Cockburn Sound, near Perth. Construction was facilitated by first installing a 10m wide temporary bridge as a work platform along the full length of the pipeline. The pipe was then laid in a trench excavated within a sheetpiled cofferdam.
