Final Wharf Slab Cast at Fisherman Islands Wharf 11 Project

 

Representatives of Brady Marine and Civil, main contractor Smithbridge Australia and Client Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd were on site last week for the casting of the final insitu deck pour (pour 33) on the wharf 11 contract..

 

 

The wharf 11 contract is for the construction of approx. 384m of 29m wide wharf backed by a relieving slab and abutment.  The contract includes the driving of steel pipe piles up to 48.5m long, casting of insitu deck concrete and supply of fitting of services and furniture including fenders, crane rails, potable and storm water pipework.

Wharf 11 will be handed over in mid 2012 and construction is already well underway on Wharf 12, a further 305m of quayline.
