At a gala dinner held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre last Friday night Brady Marine & Civil were awarded the Queensland Category 2 Earth Award for their achievements in the construction of the West End ferry Terminal.

The Earth Awards assess excellence in criteria such as industry best practice, innovation, technical complexity, management of environmental constraints and improvement in environmental amenity, project planning and management.

A record number of entries were received for the awards this year, with category 2 (projects $1M to $5M in value) slimmed down to five finalists, each showcased at the ceremony.

Representatives of Brady Marine & Civil, partner Crocker Builders and Client Brisbane City Council were present at the dinner to enjoy the project recognition. Managing Director Paul Brady paid tribute to the contributions of the various parties, noting particularly the quality of the architectural design and it’s engagement with the existing foliage. “Designs such as this create challenges for us as contractors, but in rising to these challenges through innovation and best practice, the end product can be all the more satisfying.  Receipt of recognition such as this provides reward for the hard work that went into the project.”
